Extensive background as a design-oriented mechanical process consultant in the following areas:

  • Cogeneration / Energy - smaller power generation systems (cogeneration, NUG'S, biogas); district energy, heat recovery incinerators; heat pumps; energy conservation; absorption chillers; fuel cells; energy audits.
  • Municipal / Environmental - water and wastewater treatment and pumping; solid waste incineration and recycling; hazardous wastes; air pollution and odour control; advanced-technology systems.
  • Industrial - mechanical design; ventilation systems; boilers; stacks; pressure vessels.

Broad experience in plant design, process equipment and piping, hvac, instrumentation/control, and electric power; also in pumping systems, pipelines, and waterhammer protection.

Prior responsibilities:

  • Vice-president, MacLaren Engineers Inc, Toronto; chief engineer;  mechanical process design; project management; and quality-assurance.
